Crimeline - a pretty cool initiative

This is a new initiative to help fight crime in South Africa. Basically it allows the regular joe-on-the-street to report crime and dodgy goings-on by texting/smsing a "tip off" to 33221 or online through their website. Great idea!

Only problem is the R1 charge for the text, which is a bit steep, I would say. Maybe we should try petitioning the cell providers to bring this down... new blog? forum? or facebook group? Then again, Vodacom still havent axed that miserable, painful excuse for a meerkat mascot so I guess they don't really listen to public opinion.
