semi-serious blog thoughts

I was thinking about changing the name of this blog, because technically my adventures are not in fact happening in London, as you should all know by now...but Oxford Above simply doesnt sound as cool. And it also occurred to me that the name London Above really comes from a novel called Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman (if you havent yet read this - you must! Go! Run to your nearest bookstore or amazon account!), and, while I doubt anyone other than friends are ever going to read my glorious ramblings, I'm not really at liberty to be using the term London Above (I think...anyone actually know anything about this issue?) So I'm appealing to you splendid chaps for ideas on a new name/comments on the copyright issue. Come on New Media Lab 2005 - i'm counting on you guys in particular.

If you need a decent fantasy reference for Oxford, Kate, check out "Northern Lights" by Phil Pullman (the first volume of the "his dark materials" trilogy - coming soon to a film franchise near you). The first section of the book happens there.

Pullman aint quite Gaiman, but he's got some game. If you can't get a blog name out of that, all hope is lost ( i'd suggest "the alithometer", but that'll only make sense once you read it)
